Our Story
The Beginning - 24 Mar 2012
Listen now, my children, to a tale of interstellar rags to riches. Our story begins with dissatisfaction. In March of 2012, Marr21608 and Junglenose Junglefolks had been playing Eve for a couple years and going from one disappointing corporation to the next. Finally, they decided they could hardly do worse and so went to form their own corporation, "Time and All Eternity." Admittedly, at that time, it was just a vanity corp. Something to help the two work together and avoid having to deal with other corp politics.
Chance Encounter - 25 Apr 2012
Marr and Jungle continued playing Eve in their new corp, bringing in a couple new members, who quickly dropped out of the game, until one day, Marr chanced upon a noob miner in Misneden busy trying to get some ore in a modified catalyst. He opened a convo with her and here's how it went:
[ 2012.04.25 23:39:21 ] Marr21608 > Hi :)
[ 2012.04.25 23:39:28 ] Marr21608 > are you new to the game?
[ 2012.04.25 23:39:36 ] Deherri Redet > Couple weeks
[ 2012.04.25 23:40:00 ] Marr21608 > ah cool so are you in to mining or just trying it out?
[ 2012.04.25 23:40:49 ] Deherri Redet > I guess into mining. I've sort of set up camp here. Been playing the markets in Dodixie and Trossere
[ 2012.04.25 23:42:01 ] Deherri Redet > Trying to get enough money to get a ship that throws out a bunch of drones that wipes out anything that comes close. :)
[ 2012.04.25 23:43:03 ] Deherri Redet > Gotta jet, but I'll be back.
[ 2012.04.25 23:43:21 ] Marr21608 > mmm good idea. Listen I have a corp of 5 miners or so. We mine around here (mis, pulin and foves).
[ 2012.04.25 23:43:26 ] Marr21608 > ok ttyl
[ 2012.04.25 23:44:05 ] Deherri Redet > Wasn't if I'd lose you if I went back to base.
[ 2012.04.25 23:44:23 ] Deherri Redet > Sounds like something I'd be interested in
[ 2012.04.25 23:45:57 ] Marr21608 > Cool do you know how to apply?
[ 2012.04.25 23:46:11 ] Deherri Redet > Yes
[ 2012.04.25 23:46:37 ] Deherri Redet > Member of Time and all Eternity
[ 2012.04.25 23:46:45 ] Deherri Redet > Like the logo
[ 2012.04.25 23:47:17 ] Marr21608 > thanks
[ 2012.04.25 23:49:40 ] Deherri Redet > Trying to find you in the list
[ 2012.04.25 23:53:18 ] Deherri Redet > Any hints on how best to find your corp? AND . . . what would be expected of me?
[ 2012.04.25 23:54:04 ] Marr21608 > nothin expected. just right click my name click show info then click the corp and apply.
[ 2012.04.25 23:55:30 ] Deherri Redet > Done
[ 2012.04.25 23:56:13 ] Marr21608 > gotcha like your application :)
[ 2012.04.25 23:56:25 ] Deherri Redet > I like to be direct. :)
[ 2012.04.25 23:56:33 ] Marr21608 > gave ya a million :)
[ 2012.04.25 23:56:46 ] Deherri Redet > That's a good start.
[ 2012.04.25 23:56:57 ] Deherri Redet > So what can I do for you?
[ 2012.04.25 23:58:47 ] Marr21608 > Well let me get to station and switch to a frigate ill show you where the corp hanger is and you can take a loot at it :)
[ 2012.04.25 23:58:57 ] Deherri Redet > okay
[ 2012.04.25 23:59:20 ] Marr21608 > just takin a sec
[ 2012.04.25 23:59:37 ] Deherri Redet > s'okay, just playing with the rocks
[ 2012.04.26 00:00:15 ] Marr21608 > im going to invite you to the fleet
[ 2012.04.26 00:00:38 ] Marr21608 > k switch to the fleet cchat
Little did either of them know, but this encounter was the beginning of a partnership that made Time and All Eternity, what it is today
Alliance - 29 Apr 2012
A fledgling corp needs help. It needs to be part of an alliance in order to gain additional expertise, guidance and opportunities that an alliance of older and larger corps can offer. Marr also wanted an alliance based in the Foves area. Still wary of the bad experiences Marr had with previous corps and corp leaders he brought his new corp into a new alliance with caution. He met with BigWaBastage of the HumAnnoyD alliance to size him up, knowing that he was also under scrutiny. After both agreeing that the other was not a total ass, TnAE joined the HumAnnoyD alliance.
In the Nest - May 2012
May of 2012 was all about learning the new environment. We hired on C02 C02. Junglenose was barely seen. Marr and Deherri went out exploring, trying different areas, and getting lost and podded. C02 was from Norway and would buy unsolicited Plex for the corp, saying "It was okay, Norway has oil." Deherri found the quiet system of Mandoo to mine Pyroxeres for Nocxium and Marr entered in an agreement with Walk the Line, to build a POS in their Wormhole.
The Fire - June/July 2012
Marr's ever changing work schedule kept him away from Eve, and C02 quit the corp over a dispute. Deherri found herself more and more a corp of one. Marr had since decided that he could trust her and made her a director, so she had full rights to the master wallet, which rarely went over 100mil in those days. When Marr was gone she did what she could to make isk and try to get the corp wallet higher. She had a lot of help from the alliance especially BigwaBastage and HardRock, who invited her to salvage their missions. And then suddenly Marr was gone. There was no letter about being away from the game, or going on vacation. He just disappeared, and didn't respond to any mailings.
Deherri was a corp all to herself. She mined, bought and sold, salvaged, and added to the corp wallet, not sure if it was time to abandon TnAE or not. Then Walk the Line announced that they were moving to a different Wormhole and TnAE needed to clear out their POS. Deherri began the process of removing everything. In the middle of moving, for a reason never discovered, all her corp privileges vanished. She couldn't access the wallet, the corp hangars, nothing. She couldn't remove or fuel the POS. She frantically tried to get a hold of Marr, but with no success. The POS ran out of fuel eventually and most of it's contents were taken or destroyed.
As it happened, the area where Marr lived was in the middle of a huge forest fire. He had to abandon his home, and more importantly his internet connection!!
From the Ashes - August/September 2012
Returning to Eve after the fire, Marr was ready to build up the corp. We began recruiting and added several new members, some of which are our current officers, Weye Ticoro, Clyson, Kurni Assene and D-Ben. The decision was to keep the growing corp much like the working relationship that existed between Marr and Deherri. The goal was to have fun, everyone worked to make the corp grow and the corp worked to help it's members advance in Eve. D-Ben was so cute mining in his little catalyst. How he has grown. We started our website and discovered that many of our new members had talent for web design. There was potential again in the corp.
Setting up Shop - October/November 2012
With new members training up, and more resources at our disposal Marr decided it was time for a local POS. At the same time Walk The Line offered a place in their new Wormhole. A POS in Basgerin, a lowsec system, was built for Weye Ticoro to practice his research skills, and the corp built a new wormhole POS. The first wormhole POS was barely used, but the new corp members were eager to try out the opportunities in WH space with the new POS. It was a "learning" experience. We lost a lot of ships, but we also learned about frontier flying. D-Ben found his new role in security.
The Basgerin station was destroyed after a month, but the corp realized that the local functions a POS offered were worth the hassle of building a POS in the hisec system of Pulin. We emptied the corp of all but 2 members. Lu Xue to look after our wh POS and Marr. We hired a corp that specialized in raising our status so that we could build the POS in hisec, and soon Pulin station was built. With two stations now it was hard to keep them fueled but the corp soon became skilled at mining ice, and making its own fuel blocks.
The Big Move - December 2012
Walk the Line had thoroughly mined out their wormhole, leaving little for TnAE to gain from having a POS there. Hisec only offers so many rewards, and so TnAE began looking for opportunities in other areas. Marr made contact with It's Not Fair alliance in the Detroid region of null space. It was decided to move everything there, and soon we found out how far we had come. With the wormhole skills developed with our experience with Walk The Line, rather than taking the long route to our new home, we found a quick wormhole route. Rather than bringing things out in a agonized trickle, we had our POS set up with a fleet of ships all in a day. We could get big things done now.
Its a Hard Null Life - January 2013
Our new life in Null also became a learning experience. As it turned out, Its Not Fair only had one system, with few rights in that system and it was constantly being raided. Mining was nearly impossible. We lost a lot of ships, but quickly learned how to provide security for ourselves, and for our alliance. Our efforts with our websites were recognized by many sources, including It's Not Fair who wanted us to design one for them. Although our corp remained strong, It's Not Fair was falling apart, and it was clear that this area of Null was not working out for us. TnAE had grown and felt confident to look for null systems we could control on our own.
Coming Home, Finally - February/ March 2013
TnAE left It's Not Fair on St. Valentine's day, for our new alliance Synthetic Systems. SS had an entire constellation to play in, and rules that weren't so oppressive as with the old alliance. Rather than constantly fighting off neuts in order to mine, we could mine in relative peace. Recruiting began anew and we quickly stopped being the little beggar corp in null, to being a corp who could get things done and who was on the move. We found a profitable niche making fuel blocks, and became nearly the largest and most active corp in the alliance.
Year Two - April 2013/May 2013
After making a lot of isk with Synthetic Systems, TnAE decided it was time to take a breather. We packed everything up and headed back to our old home in Gallente space, getting our own wormhole along the way. Leaving null didn't go as smooth as one would have hoped. While we planned to slip out quietly through a wormhole, ( such is our way ), as Deherri was taking the last load out, Marr informed her that she really needed to put a rush on it. It seems Marr's final conversation with SS leadership was not taken well and SS wanted us gone and all ties severed, and if they could pod a few of us on the way, that was good too. We go out just in time.
In the Hole - June 2013/July 2013
The move away from null space marked a quiet time for TnAE. Marr had several RL issues calling on his time, a new baby being on the top of the list, and announced he was going to take a short break from Eve. Weye Ticoro, the corp inventor announced he could no longer afford to play Eve and sent his regrets. D-Ben, the corp security officer disappeared all together, and many of the newer members who joined when we moved to null decided to leave the corp and stay in null. Tolis Bloodletter, TaZzStrike1, and Deherri's alt Lu Xue, stayed around to develop the wormhole. Aj Malius, and Alduin666 Shikkoken also helped in the wormhole, but AJ, not understanding why he wasn't trusted with the corp privileges he wanted, took every t2 ship he could get a hold of in the wormhole, along with Ald's orca and faction POS, showing that we had already trusted AJ more than we should have.
Say Goodnight, Kathy - Aug 2013
So, a rule that everyone should follow. "Never bring someone who is trying to Plex up a trial account into your corporation." This being said, I give you Kathy Harmin, who Clyson, the bighearted guy that he is, was trying to help get started, and who Deherri invited into the wormhole so she could mine better ores and make isk faster. I give Kathy her own paragraph for two reasons. One, she provided a great deal of entertainment in a slow time for the corp, and two to remind us that even the best intentions and wisdom cannot save someone determined to be stupid. To quote Rule of Acquisition #217, "You can't free a fish from water." Kathy begged and borrowed from everyone, and wasted a lot of isk on ships, that since they were poorly fitted and she had limited skill points, were not ready for the battles she repeatedly threw herself into. She died often, and was expelled by unanimous consent
Did You Miss Us?- Sep 2013
Marr has returned and there is much talk about returning to null. The wormhole is nice and has become profitable, but many long for the adventure of null space. With SS, we had joined their alliance and provided the alliance with fuel blocks, so we didn't have to pay rent. The downside was that we had to be involved in their alliance politics and needs, which were draining. For our second journey into Null, Marr decided that we would be our own alliance, or more correctly, rejoin our old home Humannoyed and bring them all into null with us. The old corps of Humannoyed had in fact already journeyed to null, working with the Why So Serious Alliance in Detroid. Being our own alliance, however, while allowomg us to follow our own rules, required rent, from 3 up to 10billion/ mo, depending on what we rented. This was a higher isk rate than we had managed before. Even so, Marr felt it was possible if we could master moon mining. The moon mining would pay for our rent and we would be free to play in our null area with whatever else we wanted. Marr did a lot of scouting and politicking and arranged a string of worlds in Detorid between 9N-OHF and 4NDT-W.
Moving was slower when we initially came to null. Although we still had wh routes, we had much more to bring. Moon mining would require multiple stations an a lot of equipment.
The Goons are Coming - Oct-Nov 2013
In a massive battle, Test Alliance fell to the CFC coalition and word was the Goons were coming to Detorid. Not wanting to fend off constant Goon raids when we had only just moved in, we opted for a area of space even further out in null. We were looking at the Outer Passage region, in UEPO-D. Marr had again scouted heavily in the new area finding a centrally located system with a good balance of moons and planets. We gained sovereignty. The first time our alliance appeared on the galactic map of system owning alliances. We set up the system of moon mining POSes and set to work to see if we could actually pay the rent with moon mining. Moon goo was reacted and then processed and on the 30th of Nov we collected the rent money, the majority of which came from moon mining.
Upgrade! - Dec 2013 - Mar 2014
We are growing, getting rich and making an impression on our friends in WhySO, who offered us two new choice systems Q7E-DU and 9Z-XJN, one of them being an ice system. It's more expensive, but with even more moons to mine and the alliance size now in the 200s, it isn't beyond our reach. We moved in quickly with our alliance and set up POSes on the moons. Deherri made regular trips through scanned wormhole gates with Tungsten Carbide Armor Plate and Titanium Diborite Armor Plate, processed from moon materials. HummanoyeD is looking like it going to become a serious null player.
Why So Derped - Mar 2014
Lots of things happened at once in March of 2014. Firstly, running a large alliance was once again taking its toll on the members of TnAE. Marr was trying to delegate jobs to the other corps of the alliance, and splitting TnAE into smaller subcorps, hoping to reduce it to an alliance holding corp, and letting things run on their own. However while this was going on, our patron alliance, Why SO Serious, was suffering setback after setback. First, they lost stations and systems to goon awoxers and then finally the lost favor in the N3 coalition. The claim was they weren't contributing to the war against Solar Fleet and Goonswarm. They were ordered to leave the systems they held in Outer Passage to Brothers of Tangra.
The news that Why So Serious was pulling out was devastating to our alliance. The arrangement we had for rent and sovereignty was not common in null. We have a very good relationship with Why So Serious. Our relationship with Brothers of Tangra was not so cozy, and there were many in the alliance who flat out refused to have anything to do with them. We had a choice.
We could stay in Outer Passage, but we would have to join Brothers of Tangra. We would lose control of the custom offices we set up, paying BOT taxes on PI. We would also pay more rent and lose some of the better moons.
Another option would be to follow Why So Serious to a much smaller area of space in Detroid. It wasn't nearly as nice an area, and the future of Why SO Serious seemed questionable. It might have been possible that would be under constant goon raids and having to move again soon.
A third option, posed by Tolis Bloodletter, was to move to a hisec island, and have a lowsec alliance.
A fourth option would be to join a difference alliance alltogether. We would still have a limited deal, but we wouldn't be working with BOT
A fifth option would be to move our operation entirely into the wormhole. The trouble with this option is that we numbered over 200 and a class 3 wormhole can't support nearly that many. Further, wormhole life isn't for everyone.
Finally, we considered that since we had grown so large and were an active alliance, we could demonstrate our worth and field a large fieet and maybe negotiate a better deal for our little area of space. We sent out a fleet that suprised many, but it wasn't enough to sway anyone.
The Big Split - April - July 2014
In the end, the alliance split up. Deep Space Manufacturers and Delfus stayed in Outer Passage, leaving Humannoyed and joining BOT. Artisans of Eternity, one of the corps Marr split off from TnAE, just sputtered and died. Higgs Universal Minerals followed TnAE into the Class 3 wormhole that we acquired in the summer of 2013. What Corporation, being a PvP corp, went on roams and incursions wherever they could find trouble, but its membership faded. The Ghost Brigade, Tolis's corp found a hisec island system in Aridia and set up shop. That didn't last long and they moved to a null alliance that operates in pirate space.
For TnaE things really slowed down. Marr had already parred down the corp to a few core members, but we lost still more because they didn't want live in wormhole space. We had left null with a great deal of isk, and were able to set up faction POSes in the wormhole and buy whatever we wanted, but null had also taken it's toll on Marr and Deherri. Both were seen less and less online, until Marr quit signing on all together and sold his toons.
Kindling the Embers - August 2014
Working with Higgs in the wormhole, TnAE's wealth and potentional began to grow again. The wormhole was well maintained, leaving few unplundered resources left for raiders. Deherri became the corp CEO and returned to a more active role in the game, with Dmerc66 as the co-anchor of the corp. The POSes require Amarr fuel blocks, and fuel block prices were steadily rising, from 14,000 per block to 22,000 and still going up. Higgs corp found a hisec system, Warouh, with an ice field and both corps set up shop to mine the ice. It wasn't long before both POSes with full to the top, and Deherri was once again selling fuel blocks and thinking of recruiting again.
